She also hosts her own ‘Magic of the Harp’ days in the Victor Salvi room at the prestigious Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay. Glenda tours around Wales presenting her educational programme ‘The Magic of Wales’ to Primary school children. Her experience as both a harpist, singer and presenter combine to take children on a magical musical journey around Wales.

Armed with a ‘magic bag’ filled with imaginary props, Glenda teaches the children Welsh folk songs, they listen to the beautiful sound of the national instrument of Wales playing famous traditional tunes such as Ar Lan y Mor, Ar Hyd y Nos, Men of Harlech.

Using a ‘magic paintbrush’, they paint their favourite landscape in Wales to the accompaniment of beautiful harp music. The children listen to stories, find out about the history and geography of Wales.

They also do some welsh clog dancing and have ‘hands on the harps’ at the end of the show.

Teachers are asked in advance of Glenda’s visit if they would like any particular topics covered during her programme. e.g. Castles, Celtic music, Welsh Princes, rivers, town names etc.
